From June some new direct flights will go from several cities to Madrid, the Spanish capital. We at SCANDI Travel Group know the city very well and are ready to arrange any type of event for you. What are you waiting for?
We can offer accommodation for groups in old traditional palaces, as well as in modern buildings, some with fantastic views of this metropolitan city. We can arrange, for example, a whole day conference in the elegant halls of the Casino de Madrid, and then finish the day with an informal tapas dinner tour around Calle de las Huertas, and then have one “cortado” at Plaza Santa Ana.
Some personal tips about Madrid:
When in Madrid, you need to stroll around the city centre, as it is the best way to enjoy the city and the real Spanish lifestyle. Everything important is within easy reach. You can never get bored, since this city never sleeps! Another interesting area is the up-and-coming neighbourhood Salamanca with its fancy elegant boutiques and modern restaurants.
Where to eat?
Our recommendation is Plaza Santa Ana, especially if you wish to enjoy your lunch outside in the sunshine. In the evenings, we prefer the typical local “tavernas”, where you get a rich choice of tapas and traditional “cocido Madrileño“, the classic one-pot meal from Madrid. And you should then have a drink at one of the great rooftop bars of this city that never sleeps.
What to do and where to go?
A nice and funny way to get to know Madrid is on a Segway or a bike. We also suggest taking a tour outside Madrid to Toledo or Segovia. You should not forget to visit the famous museum Prado with all its exciting paintings by Velasquez, Goya and other excellent artists.
